The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
This week we have been reading the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. We sequenced the story, and thought of captions to write for each picture. When writing we reminded ourselves of the sounds for spelling, by sounding out. We also looked at our writing checklist to make sure we had Capital Letters, Finger Spaces and Full Stop.
We then took our learning further to look at the Life Cycle of a Butterfly. We learnt that a Caterpillar builds a Cocoon, and then transforms into a beautiful Butterfly when ready. As a surprise, we got some live Caterpillars in Tigers. As a class we will now look after our caterpillars, until they turn into Beautiful Butterflies.
