How do we keep your information safe?
Since its introduction of the Data Protection Act 2018, everyone responsible for using personal data has to follow strict rules called ‘data protection principles’. They must make sure the information is used fairly, lawfully and transparently. The UK’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is split into seven key principles, with these being:
- Lawfulness, Fairness, and Transparency
- Purpose Limitation
- Data Minimisation
- Accuracy
- Storage Limitation
- Integrity, Confidentiality, and Security
- Accountability
The new law will help protect everyone; children, parents / carers and staff members at Beeches Infant School. One of the main demands of the new law is to ensure transparency about what data we collect, what we do with your data, who it is shared with and how long we keep records for.
As we need to keep you informed about how exactly we use personal data, we have outlined this information in our Privacy Notice, seen below. This will be constantly developed and reviewed as part of our data protection duties.
