Subtraction Busses!
This week we have been learning to ‘Subtract’. We learnt that by taking away our number is getting smaller. We practiced taking away practically by using busses and counters. We made up number stories to help us subtract. Example: First there were 8 people on a bus Then, 3 got off, how many people have we got left on the bus?
By using number stories this has helped us to understand taking away better. Along with using number stories, we used different methods such as using our fingers, and using ten frames to take way.
