Counting 10 and More!
This week we have been Mathematicians in Tiger Class. We have been learning to count numbers 10 and beyond. We used visual aids such as ten frames, and counters to help us understand the concept of 10 and and more. We know that a ten frame represents 10 when it is full. We used this visual to help us remember, and use the Mental strategy of ‘Counting On’ from ten in our heads along with the visual ten frame and counters.
To help us count numbers beyond 10, we have also played circle games where we have had to say what the next number would be in our number pattern. We managed to count to 30!
