This week we expanded our learning using Design and Technology, to create our Habitat for the Gruffalo. We first discussed what materials we would need to make the Gruffalo house, and the skills we would need to make it.
We decided it was important to start with a box, and only cut 1 section to create a cave using scissors. We then painted the cave, and let them dry. The following day we took our time to colour in the animals and add them to our habitat. We also used tissue to replicate some trees and river.
Along with this, in Maths we are looking at Length, Height and Time. This week we explored ‘Length’ in particular, and used key vocabulary such as ‘Long, short, longer and shorter’, to describe the lengths of the gummy snakes, and to put them in length order.
