This week the children have been learning about their Right to a safe and healthy environment. We have spoken about re-cycling and spotted that the things we can recycle have a green set of arrows on them. We re-used our junk to make a variety of models – robots, flags, plates of food and helmets.
As you can see the children really enjoyed working together with their friends.
Junk modelling benefits children in many ways. For example, they can: use their imagination while developing their design skills and creativity; develop their self-confidence as they are enabled to explore materials and how to use them; build upon gross and fine motor skills; problem solving. It is a great way to inspire children’s creativity while simultaneously educating them about waste.
