We celebrated Diwali. Children had a fantastic time learning about the festival. We hope you all enjoyed your Diwali cards.
Children, Staff and parents have been challenged to create a piece of Art work for the Beeches Infant Art Gallery. Wonderful contributions are already rolling in and hopefully will cover every square inch of the long corridor outside the hall. An exhibition to rival the Royal Academy!
Our children enjoyed using their imagination and art skills to create some great exhibits. Year 1 did miniature gardens, Year 2 decorated eggs and Reception made Easter hats. All the children made a fantastic effort and here are just a few examples.
Black History Month
What an exciting time we have had learning all about famous people, tasting and preparing exotic fruits, listening to stories , being creative , singing and making music and playing traditional Caribbean playground games. The Reverend Watson came into school to help us celebrate a Caribbean themed Harvest Festival and we enjoyed eating jerk chicken, rice and peas etc at our Caribbean Day lunch!
