This week the Tigers enjoyed their first reasoning skills lesson in Maths. The children were presented with a mixture of two different types of counting bears. They had to estimate which bears had more. Then figure out how to solve this problem. The children were excellent! They decided to separate the bears into two separate piles and count them. They told us what number is the bigger number and so which pile had ‘more’ and which had ‘fewer’ bears. We love to hear the children talking through their learning and explaining their mathematical thinking.
