Bug Hotels

In Science today we have made bug hotels. We designed bug hotels thinking about different ways to make holes and hiding places, natural materials we wanted to find and use and how to make it warm and sheltered for the bugs.   Thanks to those who provided the plastic bottles and cardboard boxes.

London’s Burning!

In English we have been writing a newspaper report about The Great Fire of London. Using our knowledge of the great fire we planned our ideas including a headline, facts and a quote from Samuel Pepys. Our planning sheets helped us to create a piece of writing based on real events. Happy half term!

Gymnastics

Musical Dragon Machine

In English we have been looking at the book The Dragon Machine. We used musical instruments to recreate the different noises the dragon machine makes – ticking, clattering, banging, clicking, whirring, rattling, clunking and crashing.

Tints, Tones and Shades

In art today we have been learning how to create tints, tones and shades with paint. To create a tint we added white paint, to create a tone we added grey paint and to create shades we added black paint.
