Enterprising Crocodiles

This week we have been busy making items for next weeks Christmas fair. The children have enjoyed creating some beautiful Christmas tree ornaments, salt dough handprints and some gorgeous bead bracelets. We had lots of super teddy donations for the Christmas Fair – thank you so much.

It’s my birthday!

This week we have been talking about the story ‘It’s my birthday’ by Helen Oxenbury. We have been practicing our writing by writing out our own party invitations and food lists.   We even made our own cakes. The children had to add flour, eggs, butter and sugar. They tasted delicious!

Learning about Rights

We have been learning about UNICEF and the rights of the child in crocodile class. We liked hearing that it is our right to play and that we have a right to education. We made our own class charter and all signed it with a handprint, including Miss Tillsley and Miss Wem.

Celebrating Diwali

Last term we celebrated Diwali. We made diva lamps from clay and painted and decorated them. We talked about the story of Rama and Sita. We made firework pictures, and during PE we danced as fireworks, thinking about what a rocket would look like as it exploded.
