3D Shapes!

This week we have been exploring 3D shapes. We first looked at some 3D shapes, and compared them to items we may find in our environment. For example a tin of beans is a cylinder shape. We then moved our learning forward by looking at the shapes flat faces, and surfaces.

We found that a cube has flat square faces, and a cone had a flat face and curved surface. To help us identify these properties, we dipped our 3D shapes into paint and printed them onto paper to help us explore the faces better.

We enjoyed exploring 3D shapes this way! We also celebrated World Book Day on Friday, and loved sharing a story with our friends.
